Despite circulating rumors, ASU will not be renting Taylor Place rooms to Super Bowl visitors, officials said.
ASU spokesman Marshall Terrill said he has no idea where the rumor could have originated, but assures Taylor Place residents there will be no strangers in their dorm building for the weekend of the big game.
The rumor was fueled in part by tweets and social media postings from Downtown students saying keys had been pulled for renters. Terrill said the claim was completely unfounded.
The students who had been talking about possible Super Bowl renters could not be reached for comment at time of publication.
"The rumor is false," Terrill said. "I received another inquiry this morning... and called a staffer, who confirmed the story is not true."
