No. 10 – Wright heats up: Utah Senior guard Delon Wright hurt the Sun Devils in a variety of ways Thursday night, scoring 21 points and dishing out six assists. He only hit one of his two attempts from downtown, but he made this one count.
No. 9 – McKissic denied at the rim: Senior forward Shaquille McKissic didn't have his best night against the stout Utah defense Thursday, and this dunk attempt wasn't his best moment. However...
No. 8 – ...Redemption: McKissic only was good on one of his five attempts from behind the three-point line and three of 10 from the field, but he left no doubt about this corner trey.
No. 7 – Geography lesson: I'm not here to judge the poor guy who named just 10 of our nation's 50 states in 15 seconds, but, c'mon man. Only he'll be able to say whether or not a hug from Sparky is enough consolation when you've denied your entire section free Whataburger.
No. 6 – Brotherly love: With 7-foot-2 alumnus Jordan Bachynski in the house to watch his brother, senior center Dallin Bachynski, the students that make up the "942 Crew" couldn't resist taking a jab at the younger sibling.
No. 5 – Defense (not) leading to offense: A McKissic drive was swatted away to begin this chaotic sequence, which involved a turnover by Bachynski and a foul that sent junior center Eric Jacobsen to the line.
No. 4 – Excuse me while I kiss the sky: Needless to say, in the world of instantaneous six-second video clips, life comes at you fast. Aside from the egregious autocorrect fail that allowed this Vine to read "outback" instead of "putback," the play itself was a highlight on a pretty low day, statistically, for McKissic.
No. 3 – Curtain of Distraction, Part I: The spirited 942 Crew folks (a record crowd of 3,023 students) made their presence felt once both teams switched ends in the second half, as the Utes shot 11-18 in the second period after going 12-12 from the stripe in the first frame.
No. 2 –Ice in his veins: The Curtain of Distraction was a formidable foe for Utah foul shooters, but Delon Wright wasn't having any of it. Wright finished a perfect 12-12 from the free throw line Thursday.
No. 1 – Curtain of Distraction, Part II (Return of the Unicorns): The ASU student section pulled out every available stop to deter Utah from sinking free throws, and it was the rubber unicorns that ultimately decided junior guard Brandon Taylor's fate. BONUS: This one happened so fast that I couldn't capture it in real time, but thankfully, the folks at FOX Sports 1 were on top of it.
