The Wildcats continue their run of dominance through the Pac-12 with a home sweep, but a trip to Tempe could prove more difficult than advertised. ASU has played better at home of late and has the confidence of last season's win over then-No. 2 Arizona.
The Utes are still unbeatable in Salt Lake City, but a loss at Pauley Pavilion proves that they are not invincible. Senior guard Delon Wright is still an All-Pac-12 frontrunner and is helping Utah stay in the second slot.
Most weeks, a loss to Washington State would drop a team down at least a spot, but both teams below the Cardinal were unimpressive enough to keep the top-three as is. Senior guard Chasson Randle is leading the team with 20.8 points per game and might be the only real threat at beating Arizona.
A hard-fought win in Tempe salvaged the weekend for the Ducks. Oregon dominated most of the game, but had to go into overtime to beat the Sun Devils. Oregon stays home this week to host the Washington schools, a much easier task than last weekend.
Being swept is never good for a team, especially after scoring just 34 points in the last game. The Beavers need to improve on the offensive end to be seen as a top-tier team in the Pac-12, so for now they are more pretender than contender.
The Bruins have won their last five games in Los Angeles and will test whether their luck travels with them to Northern California this weekend. A win over Utah could be the turning point for UCLA.
The Huskies just dismissed center Robert Upshaw, who was the team's top rebounder to this point of the season, which could be detrimental moving forward. Washington has lost three straight games, and the team has a tough trip south to Oregon which will test Upshaw's loss.
The Sun Devils lost their seventh game by six or fewer points this season, showing free throws to be this unit's fatal flaw. Poor shooting from the charity stripe has cost this team all season, but a win this week over rival Arizona could change the dynamics in Tempe.
The Buffaloes had to go to three overtimes to beat USC and get their second win after a four-game skid, but lost to UCLA to drop to one game over .500. Colorado has not been close to preseason expectations this season, but have maybe just enough time to try for a run.
A nice win over Stanford still could not push the Cougars to .500, but they are creeping closer. The win snapped a four-game losing streak and a trip south could see WSU climb over that mark.
A once-hopeful start turned sour quickly, but the Golden Bears won back-to-back games for the first time since Dec. 13 and 19 over Princeton and Eastern Washington. Cal has finally started scoring again, so maybe it can get back on track.
The Trojans seem like the clear-cut worst team in the conference and have lost six games in a row. USC is the one perennial bottom-dweller left in the Pac-12 this year as most of the other teams have proved to be equals.
