After an embarrassing 42-point loss Thursday in Utah, the ASU men's basketball team had to rebound in a big way to take momentum into the final weekend of the season.

The Sun Devils (15-14, 7-9 Pac-12) lost 87-81 to Colorado Sunday and will head back to Tempe with two losses on the road trip.

The first half was one of runs, as both teams went on long ones that kept the pace up-tempo.

Colorado had runs of 8-0 and 11-1, while ASU started the game on a 6-0 run and had a 9-0 run near the end of the first half, to end the first 20 minutes trailing by two, 40-38.

The Buffaloes were in control for most of the second half, led by senior guard Askia Booker, who was being honored on Senior Day. Booker scored a career-high 29 points in the win, including 18 in the second half.

The Sun Devils battled back toward the end of the half and took the lead 74-73 with 3:19 remaining, but the Buffaloes took the lead right back about 30 seconds later and held it until the final buzzer.

The final minute of the game was filled with fouls on both sides, but none impacted the final score at all.

The Sun Devils will head into their final weekend of the season on a two-game losing streak.
