A recruit’s tweet might bring insight into ASU’s new Adidas look.
Recruits visiting schools is a typical part of the recruiting process, and photos from these visits are commonly seen on Twitter.
But did prospective recruit Chacho Ulloa (a three-star safety recruit, per Rivals.com) potentially leak one of ASU’s new helmets for 2015? Judge for yourself.
As seen on the first photo, a previous unseen anthracite and copper pitchfork helmet is seen on the table, a potential complement to the “Desert Fuel” uniforms Ulloa is wearing in the photo and that ASU debuted against Notre Dame last season.
ASU begins a new apparel contract with Adidas in July after agreeing to an eight-year deal with the company in December. No uniform details have been released, though a potential mock-up may have been already released.
These are some of the current helmets in ASU football’s arsenal:
- Classic maroon and gold with a pitchfork
- Classic gold with a maroon pitchfork
- Gold with a black pitchfork
- Black with a gold pitchfork
- White with a maroon/gold pitchfork
- Flame helmets
- Maroon “big pitchfork” helmets
- White “big pitchfork” helmets
- Black “big pitchfork” helmets (teased for Utah game, never worn in game action)
- White “Desert Fuel” helmet with copper stripe
- Gold “Sparky” helmet with a maroon stripe
