Following one of the most decorated careers in ASU baseball history, it's time for Trever Allen to take his talents to the next level.
The former Sun Devil right fielder was selected by the Los Angeles Angels in the 25th round of the 2015 MLB Draft Wednesday.
Allen wraps up a five-year career in Tempe with a resume arguably more impressive than his father's, who won a College World Series title with ASU in 1977.
The Tempe native finished as one of 17 players in school history with more than 200 hits, 100 RBI and 20 home runs in his career.
He is a three-time All-Pac-12 honoree, including earning All-Pac-12 First Team honors in 2015.
Allen led the Sun Devils in 2015 with a .357 batting average, adding on five home runs and 31 RBI while alternating between the fourth, fifth and sixth spots in the batting order.
Allen was not drafted out of Corona Del Sol High School, though his father, Jaime played one major league season for the Seattle Mariners in 1983.
The deadline for Allen to sign his first professional contract is July 17.
