ASU football continued its fall camp Saturday with a morning session with full pads and a full squad for just the second time.

Players and coaches were not available following the media portion of the morning's practice due to ASU Media Day Saturday, but here are some observations from the portion of camp that the media was allowed to watch:

- The following players wore camouflage "PT42" jerseys: redshirt senior safety Jordan Simone, redshirt senior cornerback Lloyd Carrington, redshirt sophomore safety James Johnson and redshirt senior linebacker Antonio Longino.

- "Flame" helmets were given to: redshirt senior quarterback Mike Bercovici, sophomore running back DeMario Richard, sophomore running back/linebacker Kalen Ballage, redshirt senior guard Christian Westerman, redshirt senior center Nick Kelly, senior wide receiver D.J. Foster, Simone, Johnson, Carrington, Longino, redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Corey Smith, redshirt junior linebacker Salamo Fiso, sophomore safety Armand Perry, senior cornerback Kweishi Brown, redshirt junior tight end Kody Kohl, sophomore defensive back DeAndre Scott and junior kicker Zane Gonzalez.

- Redshirt junior linebacker Laiu Moeakiola wore a green no-contact jersey Saturday after sustaining what appeared to be a left ankle injury in practice Friday. Joining him in no-contact jerseys were freshman tight end Jay Jay Wilson (limited), freshman offensive lineman Dillon Faamatau and junior wide receiver Cam Smith.

- The first play of 11-on-11 drills started off with a bang, as Simone picked off Bercovici's pass and returned it for a touchdown.

- With Moeakiola out, sophomore linebacker DJ Calhoun (listed at second-string "Will" linebacker) saw action with the first team at the "Spur" linebacker position.

- Longino had a particularly impressive session in his first practice with the "PT42" jersey, picking up a sack and being very active in the running game.

- Corey Smith, who head coach Todd Graham pointed out Friday, wore a "Flame" helmet for the first time Saturday and also saw first-team reps along the defensive line.

- With Ballage playing strictly offense Saturday, redshirt sophomore linebacker A.J. Latu saw action with the first-team defense at the "Devilbacker" position. Behind him were redshirt freshman Ismael Murphy-Richardson and redshirt sophomore Chans Cox.

- Redshirt senior wide receiver Devin Lucien saw a few first-team snaps Saturday as several wide receivers rotated snaps. Redshirt junior Tim White saw action with the second string for the second day in a row.

- For the fourth day in a row, Brown and redshirt senior Solomon Means have alternated first-team snaps at the field corner position.

- While Richard has established himself as the feature back, Ballage and redshirt junior De'Chavon "Gump" Hayes saw some first-team action alongside Bercovici on Saturday.

Stay tuned for more updates from ASU Media Day and the rest of football's fall camp.
