The urban hip-hop community gathered under bright lights at the Nelson Fine Arts Center Plaza to celebrate hip-hop culture in a three-day festival.

"This is our story," Jorge "House" Magana said while speaking about the theme of Urban Sol 2019 called "US."

The festival started with an aerosol art spray jam, an urban film showcase and a HipHopMatters Q&A session. The festivities came to an end with the main event on Saturday with a performance featuring a 3 versus 3 dance battle, "Cut The Weight" DJ competition and other performances by prominent rappers and dance teams.
