DaWon Smith shows his custom made jean jacket at University Street Market on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020, in front of the Memorial Union on the Tempe campus.

In 2019, when graphic informations technology major Matt Welter and digital culture major Will Lorant were freshmen, they started University Street Market. The market brings together vendors selling vintage and custom clothing to college students on five days throughout the semester.

The market gives artists like DaWon Smith the opportunity to showcase their talents, while providing customers like freshmen Manny Garcia and Clark Hudson a convenient location for people to thrift items.
