Former ASU wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk was selected by the San Francisco 49ers with the 25th pick in the NFL Draft Thursday night.

The 2019 third-team All-American joins the list of Sun Devils drafted in the first round as the 26th player to hear his name called in round one.

Aiyuk finished the 2019 campaign with 1192 receiving yards and eight touchdowns on 65 receptions for Herm Edwards and company.

The 2020 draft marks the second consecutive year a Sun Devil wide receiver earned a first-round selection. N'Keal Harry was selected 32nd overall by the New England Patriots in 2019.

Aiyuk transferred to ASU before the start of the 2018 season from JUCO Sierra College in northern California. The soon-to-be NFL rookie finished with 474 receiving yards in his first season in Tempe, second on the team behind Harry.

Running back Eno Benjamin, offensive lineman Cohl Cabral, punter Michael Turk and defensive back Kobe Williams all hope to join Aiyuk as draftees on Friday and Saturday.
