Earlier this year, ASU's Biodesign Institute developed a saliva-based test for COVID-19. The test is quick, taking approximately 25 minutes with results produced in less than 48 hours. David Gillum,  senior director of Environmental Health and Safety at ASU, and Vel Murugan, the program and technical director at ASU's Biodesign Institute, explain what happens as the test travels from the testing site to the laboratory.
