Due to COVID-19 concerns, fans are not allowed inside Sun Devil Stadium to watch football games this season. For businesses along Mill Avenue, this likely means much less foot traffic on game days, according to economics professor Dennis Hoffman.

He says the lack of foot traffic this season will negatively impact businesses near the stadium. Representatives from Fat Tuesday, 414 Pub & Pizza and Brick and Barley say their restaurants have been affected, but they are ready to continue marketing game days a little differently this season.

Earlier this year, President Michael Crow sent a letter to the Arizona Department of Health Services to report four Mill Avenue businesses he claimed violated state reopening guidelines over Labor Day weekend. One of the businesses named in the letter was 414 Pub & Pizza.
