Luis Susano, owner of Velocity Films, scopes out cars to photograph at the Akihabaraz car meet in Mesa, Arizona on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021.

Food, music and a variety of modified cars took over the Vapes and Capes parking lot in Mesa, Arizona on Jan. 30, 2021. The event, named Akihabaraz, was hosted by a local car club called Street Senpais, which started in September of last year.

For some, the hundreds of clubs at ASU don't quite provide the social group they are looking for, or the subject they really love. Enter the Arizona car community. Logan Sanders, the president of the club, planned the event for over a month, giving an opportunity for people to meet and talk about cars, attracting music education major Elias Villa.
