Former ASU wide receiver Frank Darby was selected in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons Saturday.

Darby becomes the third Sun Devil wide receiver to be drafted in the past three years after Brandon Aiyuk was selected in 2020 and N'Keal Harry in 2019.

Darby finished his career at ASU with 67 receptions for 1,317 yards and 13 touchdowns. He provided value in the Sun Devil offense primarily as a deep threat, averaging 19.7 yards per catch in his career.

Darby broke out in 2019 by totaling 31 receptions for 616 yards and eight touchdowns. Injuries and lack of games played brought his numbers down in 2020. He caught only six passes for 46 yards last season, 44 of which came in one game against UCLA.

Darby was the lone Sun Devil selected in the 2021 NFL Draft. ASU finished tied for last among Pac-12 teams in players drafted. USC, Stanford and Oregon all finished tied for first with five.
