The Asian/Asian Pacific American Student Coalition at ASU has always hosted a signature event to celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Four years ago, the event, then called Culture Night, brought about 150 students into the Student Pavilion to watch performances by the coalition's member organizations.

This year, the celebration rose to new heights as AAPASC brought in acclaimed Asian American headliners Thuy and Tiffany Day to perform for an audience of over 1,000 students. According to Roman Mansur, one of the main organizers, Culture Fest was the biggest Asian American and Pacific Islander music festival in Arizona.
