Arrest made on campus following string of assaults

A man was arrested for assaulting three students on the Tempe campus on Thursday

A man was arrested on Thursday afternoon after assaulting three women on campus, ASU Police said.

The man, identified as 29-year-old Justin Avery, was arrested outside of Hayden Library around 4:30 p.m. ASU Police said the assaults happened in "various public areas" on campus. Avery is not affiliated with the University.

According to ASU Police, the assaults happened within 30 minutes of each other. 

Avery has been charged with several counts of assault, including one count of sexual assault, two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of unlawful imprisonment and one count of burglary. 

The incidents are still under investigation according to ASU Police.
