A female ASU student was stabbed by another female student in a classroom at approximately 11:45 a.m. on Thursday according to a University spokesperson.
The incident occurred on the West Valley campus at the Sands Classroom Building.
The victim was transported to a medical facility with non-life-threatening injuries, and the suspect is now in police custody, according to an ASU spokesperson.
Classes were cancelled for the remainder of the day in the building, as noted on a sign posted outside a classroom.
The incident is still under police investigation.
