Joahan Lopez:

Hello and welcome to this ASU football segment. I'm Johan Lopez. We are joined by Mr. Nial Rosenberg a SP sports writer. Thank you so much for joining us. Thank you. And let's get into it. Obviously, ASU with a big top 10 win against Texas Tech. You were there. Tell me your initial reactions at the ending.

Niall Rosenberg:

Yeah. So when we're up in the press box, they allow us down on the field to be able to get in the press conference following. So I was going down to the to the sideline while I was going down Texas Tech put up their first touchdown, made it like the the one score game. And so we're like, okay, I mean, ASU has been able to run the ball towards, like the end of that fourth quarter, so we'll see what happens. And all of a sudden I get down there onto the sideline, and I just see this dribble or punt, and I just see the Texas Tech return to go all the way inside the 15, and then they score that touchdown immediately. And everybody, I mean, I could speak for myself, and everybody else in the crowd, we're all like, There's no way that's just happened. They controlled the entire game. And now all of a sudden you're down, and so we come back, and then that just that drive the ice in Levitt's veins to come back down that fourth and two completion to Tyson to bring him inside the 10. And that was just a fantastic play. I'm on the far sideline, so I was right there with that relief brown touchdown. There's tech fans behind me, in front of where the marching band sits, and they're like, screaming, like, no, no, no. Then, like, it's so all of a sudden they get that touchdown. The clock runs zero. After that, Hail Mary goes incomplete, and everybody starts swarming. I run on. I get a little trucked by the cops there, but, you know, they're doing their job protecting the refs. And I get back up. I get in the scrum. Everybody's jumping. I get my phone out, I look to the left brand, and I use right there with everybody, and he's jumping around. So I'm like, All right, let's record this. And I mean, the he's going, it's turnt the whole time, and it was just, it was turnt. It was insane. And just the biggest top 10 win, the first top 10 win since that. Jane Daniels Brandon, I you completion against Oregon to knock off at that time, the number five rated team in the country.

Joahan Lopez:

For sure. And I got to bring it back to you know, they definitely are coming off like a very, very tough loss against Utah. They got blown out and all that. Did you expect that defense to ball out, especially struggling last year?

Niall Rosenberg:

No, honestly, like, this is a team that put up over 500 yards of offense per game, put up over 40 points per game, and just the number one offense in the country. You look up at every metric coming into this ASU game, it's the number one offense in the country, and they just caused havoc all over the place. Yes, it was the backup quarterback, but it's the same backup quarterback that was there when they put up 34 on Utah. And so this defense just completely played differently at practice. They were in full intensity, hitting each other, something they haven't done as of recent, and Kenny is going to continue that because of how well they played, and just their ability to get off the field constantly, the four straight three and outs for that Texas Tech offense, something they haven't seen all season long.

What's going on, guys. My name is CJ Stevenson, and today I have a very special guest on the show, Eric. Now, Eric, what is your major? And tell the audience a little bit about

Eric Sun:

yourself. My major is industrial engineering. I'm a student, Sophomore here in Arizona State University, and my major is industrial engineering. It's my second year in the US. I was born in Argentina. I grew up in Argentina, and yeah, I have my background is I'm Chinese in Argentine. And yeah, I'm happy to be here.

CJ Stevenson:

Thank you for coming on the show, Eric. I really appreciate it now, guys, you just heard Eric comes from a very unique background that a lot of us in the US might not know of. So can you just tell us about growing up in Argentina and how that looked like your childhood.

Eric Sun:

I grew up in a pretty open space. My friends were all Argentine people, and I think that it was pretty cool in the sense that people were really open. I played a lot of sports, and also that helped a lot to make friends

CJ Stevenson:

So it's really cool. That's amazing. Now, soccer is really big in Argentina, right?

Eric Sun:

Yeah, that's our main sport. We have fun, we socialize.
