ASU adds first forward in portal

Sophomore forward Ayanna-Sarai Darrington transferred to Tempe from Central Michigan, ASU announced on X.

Darrington averaged 14.9 points and 7.3 rebounds for the Chippewas as a sophomore, playing alongside sophomore guard Madi Morson, who also transferred to ASU.

She is the first forward to transfer to ASU in the offseason, adding some much-needed size to the Sun Devil roster.

MAC player of the year joins ASU in portal

Sophomore guard Madi Morson transferred to ASU, according to the University's post on X.

Morson won the Mid-American Conference freshman of the year in 2024-25 while playing for Central Michigan. She followed that up with a sophomore season where she averaged 20.1 points per game en route to taking home conference player of the year.

Morson now becomes the third guard to transfer to Tempe after junior Rashunda Jones and fourth-year Ruby Whitehorn joined the team earlier this weekend.

Rashunda Jones commits to ASU in the transfer portal

Junior guard Rashunda Jones transferred to Tempe from Michigan State, according to ASU's announcement on X.

After spending her first two seasons at Purdue, Jones played for the Spartans during her junior year, averaging 11.7 points per game and making the NCAA Tournament. 

Jones is the second transfer addition for head coach Molly Miller, joining Ruby Whitehorn as the two newest Sun Devils.

Sun Devils get former Tennessee guard in the transfer portal

Fourth-year guard Ruby Whitehorn transferred to Tempe from Tennessee, ASU women's basketball announced on its social media.

High school teammates with former Sun Devil Gabby Elliott, Whitehorn was a five-star prospect out of high school, according to ESPN.

She spent two years at Clemson before transferring to Tennessee. In her career, she's averaged 11.1 points per game. She is now the first portal addition for head coach Molly Miller this offseason.
