As the leaves turn red and the weather drops, we're stuck figuring out what to ditch the shorts and the tank tops for.
But if New York Fashion Week is any indication, we have plenty of options to take inspiration from. Major designers released their collections for the Spring/Summer 2027 season, offering a glimpse of styles that could easily be adapted for the fall.
Here are a couple of trends from NYFW that are predicted to make a shift from the runway to the ASU campus in the coming months.
Maximalist jewelry
Dainty jewelry is taking a backseat to statement pieces. Brands such as Coach, Ralph Lauren and Tory Burch presented models walking down the runway in chunky gold chains and long necklaces. These extravagant pieces add dimension, layers and personalization to any outfit.
Style tip: Wear a deep V-neck top with layered, long necklaces. Bonus points if you mix metals.
Business professional
Officewear is clocking out of the nine-to-five with a bold twist on the runway. Gigi Hadid opened Tommy Hilfiger in a larger blazer with baggy trousers, Thom Browne layered stripes and plaids on ties and trench coats and Tibi presented a "messy-chic" look with women in baggy suits.
Style tip: Start small with a yellow plaid tie and a grey suit jacket to avoid any HR complaints.

Vibrant blue
If you remember Meryl Streep's iconic cerulean blue monologue in "The Devil Wears Prada," you shouldn't be too shocked to see that the striking shade of blue is shaping out to be the color of the season.
Calvin Klein featured the color through a sweater that turned into a cape while Michael Kors subtly used it in footwear. The winning use of the color was Ralph Lauren's long ball gowns in which the blue was accentuated through textures and shimmer.
Style tip: Let the pop of color be the statement. Blue flats are a great way to complete a look with denim pants and a white top.
Sweaters, reworked
There's no need to lose the sweater, even in these early months of Arizona fall when it hasn't totally cooled down.
Tibi used the garment as a belt while Area mutilated a sweater into a bralette top.
Style tip: When the day gets warm, wrap your sweater around your waist with a half-knot to complete the look.
Capri pants
Athleisure capri pants have officially gone fashion couture. 7 For All Mankind debuted capris in houndstooth prints while Connor Ives showcased a high-waisted, teal corset silhouette.
Style tip: Pair your capris with a button-up shirt or a T-shirt for a very Princess Diana look.
A new kind of fringe
Fringe isn't just for the cowboy aesthetic.
Area took an experimental vision to fringe, wrapping jump rope around a model's body to create an illusion of a dress, while Monse's version involved denim skirts and blazers transitioning into flowy fringe.
Style tip: Including a fringe bag into your everyday assortment can be an effortless way to incorporate the trend into your personal style.

If this past NYFW was any sign, this upcoming season is going to be bigger, bolder and a little more blue.
