ASU senior Melanie Rogoff turned her passion for music into a charitable venture with the "Euromerica and Friends, Volume 1" compilation benefiting the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.On Dec. 15, Melanie Rogoff, a senior ASU business management student, released the "Euromerica and Friends, Volume 1" compilation CD. Proceeds from the album go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, a cause close to Rogoff's heart.

Stealing the spotlight, however temporarily, from a show's headliners is a feat most bands would envy and one that is rarely seen in the world of opening bands. However, Phoenix locals The Technicolors somehow manage to do so with its loud guitars and smooth falsettos, whether it's opening for Walk the Moon at Super Bowl Central or for The Maine at the Marquee Theatre.

This week, upon deep literary contemplation, I thought I would share with you a little overdue #throwbackthursday with the worst three weeks of group reading of my middle school career: S.E. Hinton's "The Outsiders." Dubbing this the worst is saying a lot for me, especially considering my classmate's cries of "This is boring!" and "Why are we reading this?" when we read "Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry."

Pop princess, prima donna and broken heart expert Marina and the Diamonds released the music video for the title track off her upcoming album, "FROOT," on Nov. 11. The album will be released April 6, 2015.
