I have always believed in the idea that you can tell a lot about someone based on their bedroom. This thought inspired me to start a new series on my blog: The Bedroom Diaries. It will profile a college bedroom that is decorated well, perfectly matches its resident’s style, and was designed on a budget.

Spring is fresh in the air but it’s not the pollen that’s making me twitch. The newly found itch to make some wardrobe adjustments is right around the corner. I’m sick of winter clothes and just so happen to love spring fashion. Every year it revolves around the same idea of fresh, light, and delightful themes, yet fashion never fails to alter slightly. All it takes is a walk-up counter, rough English and absolutely no ceramic plates, and you know you’re in the right place.

Everyone is aware of the U.S. Supreme Court's 1973 Roe v. Wade case, which ruled the 14th Amendment protected a woman’s choice to have an abortion. But it’s a little more difficult to keep up with the heaps of legislation that have come in the decades since – time in which states have started taking the controversial matter into their own hands.

“We’re all bald monkeys,” says Paul Dief, owner and founder of the Phoenix Rock Gym. “All kids climb, they try to get to the cookie jar on the top shelf. We’re all natural climbers. People forget how fun it is — that vertical movement.”

It’s a spring day and everyone is cavalier in the heat — except me. As the teacher outlines the directions, my eyes widen in fear. Everyone will race around the field, receive a number based on finishing order, then each team will add up their members’ numbers, and the lowest total number wins. Long-limbed blondes are off in an instant, with their glistening, never-sweaty hair and a glint of sunshine in the distance. Meanwhile, my hair sticks to my face as I push through the grass. I finish one millionth, and my team of 8-year-old peers is pissed. Ever since I killed the dreams of some third graders, I have never run again.

College is full of stress, anxiety, endless colds and the flu. And when students get sick, some turn to herbal medicine rather than Western pharmaceuticals.

If stereotypes have any truth to them, college students are having a lot of sex, especially at ASU. And if modern television is any indicator, every teenage girl is pregnant, or on her way there.

For as long as there have been pigs, there have been bacon lovers. I am one of those bacon connoisseurs, and prefer it delivered in a juicy, luscious BLT. When done right, a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich can be the perfect combination of meaty satisfaction and light freshness, a true piece of art to be proud of — which is why I embarked on a mission to find the best BLT in Tempe.

As I walk into Kore Bicycles, I'm greeted not by a pushy salesman or a deluge of price-tagged bikes, but instead by a dog. She saunters up to me, her chubby, Border Collie body bumping against the glass case of colorful gears, pegs, and pedals.
