In addition, he placed second in the 1-meter against Stanford and third in the 3-meter.Only in his first season, Hoffer said he has already felt welcomed into the program."Everyone has been majorly accommodating, supporting me and helping me correct some of my mistakes throughout the season," he said.He ended his award-winning month with a first-place finish in the preliminary round of the 3-meter dive in the Air Force Diving Invitational, which he followed up with a second-place finish in the championship round of the event.Hoffer has now won two out of three diver of the month awards given by the Pac-12 in the 2014-15 season.Even with great success coming early, he said his consistency is something he can improve.Hoffer said he is unsure of whether he will need to be a leader but is in position to do so if need be."That will depend on the divers we have coming in next year," he said.
