Devils Pitching In and the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College partnered with Special Olympics to host the first ASU Special Olympics on Saturday. People of all ages from local Special Olympics chapters came out to participate in basketball, volleyball, soccer and dodgeball. Athletes rotated between the sports and participated in a fall carnival hosted by the Teachers College.

Sun Devil Football fell to the USC Trojans 42-14 Saturday night in the Pac-12 season opener. The loss was characterized by fumbles and interceptions, but Coach Todd Graham continues to say this is the best team he has coached, and all that matters is how they follow this up.

Students started homecoming week with ASU's annual homecoming comedy show. This year's show, located at Wells Fargo Arena Monday night, featured Jak Knight as the opener, and Joel McHale as the headliner. McHale is known for hosting the show The Soup as well as his role on the show Community.
