Athletes’ rock star lifestyles setting bad examples for youth

Sex, drugs and no one’s rockin’ out.

The normal life of a rock star or Hollywood celebrity has quickly engulfed the world of sports and its athletes.

From mainstream sports to even the Olympics, controversial topics have been trending through Twitter and news headlines the past few years.

Just this summer, the Olympics seemed to receive more publicity for the “sexcapades” going on in the Olympic Village than the events themselves.

Apparently it has been occurring for quite some time, yet it took until 2012 — when it seemed like part of our culture — to tell the world about it.

America is like the college parents moving their “kids” into the dorms thinking they’re getting a great education, studying nightly. When mom and dad are gone, the animal comes out.

Not only is the whole world watching, but many youngsters are watching as well.

In the NFL, various crimes have struck players this year more than ever.

Fourteen players in the NFL have been caught drinking and driving.

Not only do those players have a handful of resources and money to get home, but there is also a nation-wide car service provided by NFLPA.

No excuses guys.

Athletes in all sports are setting a bad example for our nation’s youth.
