ASU Police reported the following incident Monday:
A 26-year-old man was the victim of a suspected assault Thursday morning at the 500 block of East Veteran's Way, according to a police report.
When the victim was getting off of the Orbit bus outside of Sun Devil Stadium, the suspect – who is described as approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall – mumbled something then hit the man in the face, police reported.
The impact of the punch knocked out one of the man's tooth fillings, according to the report.
The victim did not know the man or why he struck him, police reported.
Police searched the area but did not find the suspect, according to the report.
The victim was transported to Tempe St. Luke's Hospital for treatment, police reported.
