The Tempe Undergraduate Student Government's 11th legislature voted Tuesday night in favor of the proposed athletic fee bill, Senate Bill 31, after hours of deliberation.

Amendments were added to clarify the wording of the bill.

All five student governments voted in favor of the bill, which will now move on to ASU President Michael Crow's office for approval and then on to the Arizona Board of Regents for final approval.

If the bill is approved by the remaining entities, it will be implemented in fall 2014.

USG Tempe President Jordan Davis, along with many senators, clapped loudly as the bill passed.

"You guys did the right thing," Davis said.

No students spoke during the meeting.
