The No. 24 ASU tennis team (14-7, 5-3) prevailed Sunday 4-2 win over the No. 50 Washington Huskies.

The team was without junior Desirae Krawczyk, who currently is the No. 27 singles player in the nation, as well as the partner to junior Stephanie Vlad as the team's No. 1 doubles pair, which currently ranks 29th in the nation.

In the doubles, senior Joanna Smith and sophomore Kassidy Jump were moved into the No. 1 role, despite normally manning the No. 2 role. Subsequently, junior Ebony Panoho and sophomore Alex Osborne were moved into the No. 2 role, and senior Leighann Sahagun and sophomore Gussie O'Sullivan were played as the No. 3 pair.

Washington would go on to claim the doubles point to take a one-point advantage entering singles play.

The Sun Devils would turn in an outstanding performance en route to claiming four singles games to win the match.

With Krawczyk out, Jump was inserted into the No. 1 role in the singles lineup, with Smith as the No. 2, Panoho as No. 3, Sahagun as the No. 4, O'Sullivan as the No. 5 and Osborne as the No. 6.

Jump, Smith, Panoho and Sahagun would win their respective matches, carrying the team to victory.
