The man had stepped outside a bar to smoke marijuana out of a pipe when officers approached him, according to the report.

The man tried to walk away from law enforcement, but officers stopped him, searched him and found the marijuana and pipe, officers reported.

The man told the officers that a man standing next to him gave him the pipe, but didn't know there had been marijuana in the pipe, officers reported.
