Police searching for indecent exposure suspect after reported incident at Taylor Place

The reported incident happened around 7 p.m. at the Taylor Place residential hall

A male suspect reportedly exposed himself to two female students in the women’s bathroom of the Downtown Phoenix campus residential hall on Nov. 27, according to the ASU Police Department.

The reported incident of indecent exposure happened around 7 p.m. at the Taylor Place residential hall, the report stated.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his late 20s, around 6 feet tall and wearing a black t-shirt and tan cargo shorts. The ASU police released a security camera picture of the suspect entering the residential hall.

In the statement, the ASU police offered safety tips for students like locking the door to their room even when only leaving for a few minutes, not leaving their door propped open and always having someone with them if they leave the dorm at night.

The ASU police also suggested students download the free ASU LiveSafe phone application to send tips about criminal activity and to use the SafeWalk feature which allows students to chat with an emergency contact while walking alone or whenever they feel unsafe.

The suspect has not been identified as of Tuesday afternoon. ASU police will release new information as it becomes available, according to ASU police spokesperson Katy Harris.
