Former ASU infielder Sergio Garcia signed a free-agent contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers last week, reporting to the team's Vero Beach, Fla., complex on Friday afternoon.
Garcia, who batted .332 for the Sun Devils in 2002, transferred to Tempe after playing for Oklahoma in 2001.
Garcia was an honorable mention selection for both ASU and Oklahoma. In 338 Division I at bats, Garcia collected 108 hits while knocking in 47 runs.
Garcia's signing came a day after former Sun Devils Brooks Conrad and Chris Duffy were named to their respective league's all-star teams.
Conrad, who played at ASU from 1999-2001, is currently hitting .272 for the Michigan Battle Cats of the Midwest League.
Duffy, whose lone season at ASU came last year, is hitting .320 for the Lynchburg Hillcats of the Carolina League.
Conrad will appear in the Midwest League All-Star Game in Lansing, Mich., tonight while Duffy's MBNA America Carolina-California League All-Star game also takes place today in Wilmington, Delaware
