Men's Golf:
The ASU men's golf team shot a record 40-under-par 824 to win the Thunderbird Invitational. It was the fourth ASU win in five years and the Sun Devils nearest opponent, USC, was eight-strokes back.
The strong field of teams shredded the Karsten golf course but ASU was able to beat the competition on its home course.
Junior Chez Reavie and senior Brady Stockton tied for fifth place at 10-under-par and were the highest ASU finishes.
Water Polo:
The Sun Devils stumbled through the Long Beach Invitational and come back to Tempe with a 2-3 record.
Saturday's competition had everything from close calls to a 20-5 stomping. ASU started hot by topping Pacific 7-6 on a last-second goal by sophomore Bryn Kuech. The Women of Troy then handed ASU its worst-ever loss (20-5) but the Sun Devils bounced back with a 10-5 win over Occidental to end the day.
The Sun Devils dropped a heartbreaking 9-8 overtime loss to UC San Diego on Sunday and things didn't get better in an 11-4 loss to UC Irvine.
