Police Beat: Assault, public urination in a parking lot


ASU police reported the following incidents on Thursday:

A bicycle reportedly was stolen from the Life Sciences Building A-Wing. Total estimated loss is $600.

A hubcap reportedly was stolen from a Toyota Corolla while it was parked in Structure 5. Total estimated loss is $50.

An unknown suspect reportedly assaulted a University employee in the parking lot at Adelphi Commons. The victim reportedly was patrolling Adelphi Commons when he observed the suspect drop off a female in the parking lot next to the complex. The suspect apparently was arguing loudly with the female, and the victim asked if he could be of assistance. The suspect reportedly urinated in the parking lot, called the victim several names and made aggressive moves toward him. The suspect then reportedly said, "I'll see you tomorrow. I know who you are. I'll fix you up," then drove away.

A license plate reportedly was stolen from a Ford Contour while it was parked in Structure 4. Total estimated loss is $20.

Two cars reportedly collided in Lot 59. The first vehicle was traveling southbound from the parking lot and entered the east-west traffic lane while the second vehicle was approaching. No injuries were reported and both drivers gave conflicting statements as to the events that occurred. The second vehicle reportedly was disabled and was towed from the scene.
