Police Beat: This is your brain on crack


Tempe police reported the following incidents on Tuesday:

A 39-year-old Scottsdale man was arrested near the intersection of Price Road and Apache Boulevard on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia after he reportedly left an area known for excessive criminal activity and made several driving errors. The man reportedly was found in possession of a glass pipe with which he admitted to smoking crack.

A 19-year-old transient man was arrested near the 700 block of West University Drive on charges of disorderly conduct after he reportedly yelled at his girlfriend and kicked in her front door.

A 22-year-old Tempe man was arrested near the 700 block of South Beck Lane on charges of domestic violence and disorderly conduct after he reportedly threw the victim's clothes into the kitchen and living room.

A 20-year-old Tempe man was arrested near the 400 block of East Julia Drive on charges of unlawful discharge of a firearm after he reportedly fired a .22-caliber handgun four times inside his home.

A 32-year-old Phoenix man was arrested near the 20 block of West Broadway Road on charges of identity theft after he reportedly applied for credit using his father's date of birth and social security number.
