UConn's Emeka Okafor is the perfect example of what is right with college basketball. The 6-foot-10 forward was not just the most dominating player in the NCAA this year but was also the CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year.
While his accomplishments on the court -- unanimous All-American, all-time leader in the Big East in blocks averaged per game for his career -- have been impressive, Okafor's off-the-court accomplishments might be more impressive.
The junior has a 3.76 grade point average in finance and is scheduled to graduate this May after three years at Connecticut.
If he comes out for the NBA draft like most experts are projecting, he will undoubtedly be a lottery pick and has a better-than-average chance to be a top-three selection.
