A makeover is the cop out way of hiring a therapist to fix your emotional problems. Everyday, Montel or Maury "fix" people who fit one of the following show premises: "Help! My daughter dresses like a whore," or "My daughter dresses like she's my son."
Then, for an hour, Montel and his group of fashion and lifestyle experts go to town on the girls, turning them into skirt-wearing, cookie-cutter, little angels. Mom cries at the transformation, daughter cries at seeing mom cry, then, they hug and all is well ... for one day.

Recently, Montel had a show where he transformed a few drag queens into fashionable men. Sure enough, the queens made great looking guys, but it just didn't look right. The shirt and slacked queens looked miserable in their manly makeovers, and even the audience seemed out of sorts with the results. Montel went too far, he stole these queens' identity; he stole what makes them fabulous.
Here at SPM, we bring you our version of a makeover. We're not attempting to change a tomboy into a princess and definitely not attempting to change a queen into a jester. We bring you a makeover that respects and celebrates the fabulous look of drag culture, while giving it a funkier, more modern spin. Welcome to "The Girlie Scheme for the Drag Queen," where our queen, Sasha, lets two female fashionistas give her look an electro-glam overhaul.
