Here at the sports desk, it is looked down upon to try and boost the attendance of the sports we cover. However, today I have 240,000 reasons why you should attend the ASU football game versus Iowa on Saturday night. ASU turned down a $240,000 deal to move the game to a 1 p.m. start, instead of its original 7 p.m. start time.
The Sun Devils' (2-0) game against the No. 12 Hawkeyes is one of the biggest games ASU has had in recent history. It is also a game in which ASU has a chance to gain back the respect it has lost over the past year. Adding a raucous crowd to the intense heat of Sun Devil Stadium will make the game that much tougher for Iowa.
If there is one game you attend this season, make sure it is Saturday night's game against Iowa. ASU's respect as a top Division I football program depends on it.
