Devil Dish: Don't give up hope

After receiving a spanking in So. Cal Saturday, a pessimistic attitude seems to be covering everyone's maroon and gold pom-poms.

"It was a good run," or "I can't believe I drove 12 hours for that," seem to be common phrases from disgruntled Sun Devils, but I must urge you all to realize we're not finished. The football team is still poised to have one of its strongest campaigns in years, and it would be a shame if Sun Devil Stadium once again looked as bare as a freshman lecture class.

Taking a glance at the final five games of the year, it's clear that the team can compete with any of its remaining opponents and give fans something to cheer about.

So if you've lost faith, I urge you to pick up your pitchfork and point your big foam finger toward a distant bowl selection. Look on the bright side, at least you're not a Wildcat fan.
