Devil Dish: The Curse

There is really nothing in sports quite like "The Curse."

Two world wars, 18 presidents and 26 Yankee world championships have spanned the era since the Red Sox last took home Major League Baseball's prized hardware, but going into tonight's Game 3, it appears there is light at the end of that torturous tunnel.

Too bad it's a train.

Sorry to sound negative, but the fact is, the Red Sox have been here before, and blown it.

First, the Cardinals are perfect at home this postseason. Also, don't be surprised if Albert Pujols, Scott Rolen, Larry Walker and Jim Edmonds make the temperamental Beantown pitching look like a Little League squad. If that happens, all that stands between St. Louis and a run is the Boston defense, which has already made them look like a Little League squad.
