Tempe Police reported the following incidents Thursday:
A 21-year-old ASU student was arrested on charges of DUI and was ultimately charged with possession of marijuana. The man was arrested on the 900 block of east Vista del Cerro Drive early Wednesday morning, and police reportedly found a plastic bag containing what appeared to be marijuana during a search of his person following his arrest. The student was booked into Tempe City Jail and released pending further investigation.
A 37-year-old male transient was arrested early Thursday morning on charges of criminal damage. Police allege that the man was trespassing at the All Saints Catholic Newman Center, located at 230 E. University Drive, and allegedly wrote on a cement table with a permanent marker.
