ASU police reported the following incidents Friday:
An unidentified person allegedly interfered with an educational institution and committed criminal nuisance Wednesday afternoon at the Noble Science Library. A library custodian told DPS that the person intentionally clogged a toilet, defecated and flushed, causing the toilet to overflow. The person has allegedly done this "about 12 times in the past three months." The custodian was able to describe a suspect, but the case is inactive pending further leads or a call from witnesses if the suspect returns to the library.
A golf cart was reported stolen from the Motor Pool yard on the 800 block of East Tyler Road on Wednesday morning. The cart was allegedly stolen sometime between when it was taken to the yard for cleaning and new decals on Jan. 25 and when it was discovered missing on Feb. 5. DPS has no suspects or leads in this case.
Tempe police reported the following incidents Friday:
Police responded to a threatening and intimidation call on the 1200 block of West Baseline Road on Thursday night. Police report the suspect, a 19-year-old man, threatened to commit suicide and was heard loading a shotgun. Police established a perimeter around the residence but reported the man eventually left voluntarily and was detained. He was reportedly transported to a facility for a mental health evaluation. The City Attorney's Office will determine whether to file charges against the man.
