One down, three to go.
On Sunday, the Phoenix Suns put the finishing touches on the Memphis Grizzles in the opening round of the NBA playoffs.
Those who worried about the Grizzles can breath a sigh of relief but should be embarrassed. The Grizzlies fell apart, and the Suns took care of them easily.
Now fans will worry about the Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets -- the winner of that first-round series meets the Suns in the Western Conference semifinals.
Barring injury, Phoenix will have little trouble with either team.
I know what you're thinking: The Suns don't match up well with Yao Ming, and Tracy McGrady is the hottest player in the NBA. Dallas has just the right mix of talent, and if Dirk Nowitzki gets hot, the Suns are in trouble.
Um, no.
Every team in the playoffs has its strengths and weaknesses. The only teams that pose a legitimate threat to the Suns are the San Antonio Spurs and Detroit Pistons.
Save your fingernails, Suns fans. I'll see you at America West Arena for the Western Conference finals.
