Did football season start yet? I'm too focused on the MLB Playoffs to care.
That's right. I said it. I could care less about the NFL right now.
For starters, the "Evil Empire" is on the brink of elimination, with the Yankees World Series drought potentially reaching an incredible five years.
The St. Louis Cardinals made short work of the San Diego Padres, who didn't really deserve to be in the postseason in the first place.
Yesterday, the Houston Astros and Atlanta Braves played an 18-inning marathon, with the Astros pulling it out in the end.
Then there is the most incredible story; my hometown Chicago White Sox sweeping the Boston Red Sox. The White Sox are a team on a mission, and they have been since day one.
They led the American League Central for the entire season, never relinquishing the lead.
It has been a dream season for the South Siders, and the dream will continue on to the inevitable collision course with the Cardinals in the World Series.
Obviously the White Sox will win that series, too. The Diamondbacks, Marlins and Red Sox all won the World Series recently with great pitching, which is exactly what the White Sox have.
