ASU Police reported the following incident Tuesday:
A 45-year-old Tempe man was arrested Monday at Noble Library for loitering. An officer was dispatched after library staff reported a suspicious person trespassing. The officer recognized the suspect from prior contact in the same building. The suspect had been contacted four times for trespassing on campus since May 2004.
Tempe Police reported the following incidents Tuesday:
A man in his mid-20s entered the Subway on the 1300 block of West Elliot Road Monday night and allegedly simulated a weapon by having his hands under his shirt. The suspect reportedly jumped over the counter and forced the store manager into the restroom. The suspect then attempted to open the cash register but was unsuccessful. He ordered the manager to open the register. The suspect removed the cash and ran out the rear door to an unknown location. The suspect has not been located.
A 31-year-old Phoenix man was arrested on the 1500 block of North Scottsdale Road Friday night and charged with DUI, false reporting to law enforcement and driving with a suspended license. After the suspect was stopped for traffic violations, the suspect told the officer he had three beers. During the DUI process, the suspect gave his name as "Joel Perez Perez" and gave two different dates of birth. After the man was booked into Tempe City Jail, the suspect admitted he gave false information.
