It was all about the Sun Devils this weekend, as ASU took advantage of its home track and field.
The Sun Devils earned 24 regional berths this weekend at the 27th Sun Angel Track Classic at Sun Angel Stadium in Tempe.
In all, ASU notched 12 victories in its last home meet of the season. The Sun Devils shined in the field events, where they scored seven of their 11 victories as well as 11 of their regional berths.
On the field, Sarah Stevens took home two victories, winning the discus and the hammer throw. Both marks were also good enough to make regionals.
Jessica Pressley added to ASU's dominance in the throws by winning the shot put. Her mark also qualified her for regionals.
Jacquelyn Johnson and Stephanie Garnett were victorious in the high jump and long jump, respectively, while Becky Holley won the javelin.
Andrew Smith and Ryan Zimmerman recorded the only victories in the field events for the men in the javelin and triple jump events, respectively.
On the track, Domenik Peterson notched two victories of his own by winning the 200-meter dash before joining the 4x400-meter relay team in victory. Both marks qualified for regionals as well.
For the women, Amy Hastings continued her dominance in distance events by winning the mile run and qualifying for regionals.
Victoria Jackson also qualified for the regional tournament with her win in the 5,000-meter run.
The women's 4x400-meter relay team also won on their home track.
ASU made some noise away from Tempe this weekend as well, with athletes competing in the Mount San Antonio College relays in Walnut, Calif.
Ryan Warrenburg qualified for regionals by breaking the ASU record in the 5,000-meter run.
Brooke Bennett also qualified with her second- place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
