"I'm underage and intoxicated, but I want to be like you and join the police department," the suspect reportedly told officers.

An electric leaf blower was reported stolen Thursday morning at Hayden Library. It was last seen Wednesday afternoon, police said. A custodian reportedly locked the room in which the leaf blower was stored before leaving for the day.

The leaf blower was secured to an electrical conduit, which was torn off the wall when the blower was stolen, police said. The estimated loss is $70.
