Devil Dish

Sunday's Oakland Raiders versus Baltimore Ravens matchup looked more to me like the first annual ASU football Hall of Fame game rather than a week-two NFL contest.

On one side you had tight end Todd Heap playing for the Ravens' offense. The Golden Retriever hauled in a touchdown pass in the second quarter that announcers deemed "undefendable."

On the Ravens' defense was T-Sizzle, aka Terrell Suggs. ASU's all-time quarterback attacker registered seven tackles.

And on the Raiders offense was ASU's all-time leading passer Andrew Walter, who saw the first significant playing time of his professional career. When Walter entered the game, the Raiders offense noticeably improved under his leadership instead of starter Aaron Brooks, earning the second-year pro broadcast commentary like, "How about this kid Walter?"

Many times, Walter was chased down before he even finished dropping back to pass, a result of a porous Oakland offensive line.

Two of those times, Walter was sacked by Suggs, once being stripped of the ball. It was a bittersweet moment.
