ASU police reported the following incidents Thursday:

A 20-year-old male ASU student reported that his car was broken into Wednesday evening at Lot 57.

The student allegedly parked his car in Lot 57 at about 6 p.m. He returned at 7:15 p.m. and found his driver-side window broken, the police report stated.

His dashboard was damaged, his Pioneer stereo and his LG cellular camera flip phone were missing from the car, police reported.

The student said he locked his doors and his car does have an alarm; however,

the alarm did not appear to

go off, the police report stated.



Tempe police reported the following incidents Thursday:

A 31-year-old Chandler man was arrested Thursday morning on the 1100 block of North Scottsdale Road on charges of unlawful discharge of firearms.

The man pointed a loaded handgun upward and fired it into the air, the police report stated.

The man allegedly admitted to firing the gun, police reported.


A 20-year-old Tempe man was arrested Thursday morning at a Motel 6, located at 513 W. Broadway Road, on charges of criminal damage, disorderly conduct and being under 21 years of age with alcohol in the body.

The man reportedly broke a window at a room in Motel 6, the police report said.

An investigation revealed he had alcohol in his system, police said.
