ASU police reported the following incidents Thursday:

A 24-year-old man was arrested Tuesday morning at Hassayampa Academic Village on charges of theft.

Police observed a man pulling on four bikes locked to bike racks on the north side of Hassayampa, the report stated.

The man picked up a bike lying on the ground and rode off, the police reports stated.

Police reportedly told the man to stop and he ran away on foot. Police apprehended the man at Mariposa

residence hall, police

reported.



An 18-year-old female ASU student was arrested Tuesday morning at Palo Verde West on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police entered the student's room on suspicion of drug use. The student agreed to a search and police found cocaine residue on her dresser, the police report stated.

The student said she did have cocaine residue on her dresser, but it was not hers, police reported.

Police also found a small plastic bag and a plastic straw in the trash, the police report stated.



Tempe police reported the following incidents Thursday:

A 19-year-old Phoenix man was arrested Wednesday evening on the 700 block of South Rural Road on three charges of selling marijuana.

The man allegedly sold about one pound of marijuana to an undercover detective for $4,000, police reported.

He also reportedly sold marijuana to undercover detectives on August 18 and 22, the police report stated.

The man was transported to Tempe City Jail.



A 41-year-old Tempe man was arrested Wednesday morning on the 2000 block of South Ventura Drive on charges of theft.

The man reportedly removed a small bundle of electrical cable from the front porch of a residence, the police report stated.

He allegedly admitted to taking the cable, which is valued at about $25.

The man had no identification and was booked at Tempe City Jail, police reported.
