ASU police reported the following incidents Friday:
A 19-year-old male ASU student was arrested Thursday morning at Parking Structure 5 on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
He also received a citation for possession of a fictitious license.
An officer smelled burnt marijuana and approached a car parked on the third floor of the parking structure, police reported.
The suspect and another man allegedly began to manipulate the contents in the trunk.
Upon agreement to a search of the car, the officer found about one gram of marijuana in the trunk and one additional gram of marijuana in the car, as well as a pipe, police reported.
The officer allegedly found a driver's license in the student's wallet. When asked if it was a fictitious license, the student reportedly replied, "It's a good one, huh?"
The student was released from the ASU police station pending review of the charges by the county attorney's office, police said.
A police car was reported damaged Wednesday afternoon at 49th Avenue and Wood Drive.
Police reported the car was parked at the location Tuesday at 4 p.m., and it was unoccupied overnight.
On Wednesday at 5:50 a.m. an officer found handwritten indecipherable letters written in black permanent marker on the driver-side rear corner panel, the police report stated.
ASU police removed the markings and the car was left undamaged.
There are no suspects or leads at this time.
Tempe police reported the following incidents Friday:
A 29-year-old Phoenix man was arrested Thursday evening on the 2500 block of West Carter Drive on charges of forgery, possession of drug paraphernalia, marijuana, dangerous drugs, a stolen credit card and theft of a means of transportation.
The man was stopped for a traffic violation and provided a forged identification, police reported.
Upon search of the vehicle, marijuana, methamphetamines, drug paraphernalia and a credit card belonging to someone else was found, police said.
